Sires

Meet Cheeno

Cheeno is the Sire of our late Spring 2021 litter with Inca (Dam). At age 1 1/2, Cheeno has THE MOST guardian/protective instinct we have ever seen in any of our dogs. He is so loyal that he is always by our side when we are out in the yard. Cheeno ushers us to our gates and sleeps in front of our front door. He is an angel around our livestock; trained such that while he plays with our geese, goats, kittens and other critters, he never hurts them. When he is inside our house, he does not sleep until he’s made certain all of our children are tucked safely in bed (really….Cheeno goes from room to room, just checking and making sure all is peaceful before he lays down or relaxes!) Truly a hard worker, he has won his place in our family.

Having background as a biologist and educator, animal behavior, zoology and the genetics of dog breeding fascinates me. As does canned Spam, pollywogs and fainting goats. Read more
